This chapel is so named as we don't, in fact, know the name of this chapel. The movie of our visit merely states "Here's the outside of the chapel we just visited". Perhaps next time we'll take more care to get the names of the places we visit.
As a result, we know very little about the history of this church and the art. However, it is clearly of a more "recent" age than the many mosaic filed churches. The heavy and intricate decoration is clearly from after the Dark Ages and the Renaissance. Our rough guess is 17th or 18th century. The mosaics have been replaced with intricate carvings and statues. In addition, a focus on the Old Testament stories and the centrality of Christ has been replaced by Mary.
