Giverny

Monet built this garden for his paintings.  When you see the garden in full bloom, as Mom and Lori did, you can understand why he was inspired.

The Cathedral at Chartres

Wow! doesn't really do credit to the visual impact of this church.  As it stretches upwards, you can't help but look up to the skies and think of more heavenly things.  The internal reflection that begins with that first view continues when you go inside and walk the labyrinth laid in the floor.  The skills of the medieval architects are still impressive and powerful.
