The Vatican Museum and Saint Peter's Basilica

The Vatican Museum houses much of the great sculpture and classic artwork in the world, including the incredible Sistine Chapel of Michelangelo. The museum was well worth the visit, but didn't give us many good photographs as we were not allowed to use flash in order to protect the artwork.

St. Peter's, on the other hand, was too large to fit in the lens. What was most interesting was that this was the only way you could realize the size. The relative size and perspectives used on the sculptures and other details made it feel much smaller.

While we couldn't take pictures, others have collected images of the Vatican Museum and the glory that is the Sistine Chapel. Take a look at their pages for more on these incredible collections.
