We tried to add a little fun and relaxation to this vacation by taking a house that was one of 10 units surrounding a pool.  There were lots of kids for our kids to play with and our hosts (Peter and Rita) did a wonderful job of planning different activities that we could take part in if we chose.  There was a group canoeing trip (We didn't risk drowning the camera, so no pictures.); a children's game afternoon with  face painting, hay ride, ending with a crepe dinner; and a trout roast with a sing along.

All this combined with a peaceful setting and warm people make Les Maurelles a don't miss stop on any trip.

Some of the cottages of Les Maurelles with the pool and snack bar in the forground. Alex enjoys the pool. Poolside trout dinner. The sing along Neat games for the children--with teens helping out ALL afternoon! What a treat for everyone. The hayride Face painting Juli playing at the pool. Ready for some canoe action. Ruby was v-e-r-y interesting in catching Perri to play but big puppies have very big clumsy feet so we kept them apart. Juli's special friend was Faye from Scotland. Rushing to get to a castle--all three kids. Juli says thankyou after a ride. Happy Birthday Juli! Your present is under your plate? A new bike! Gameboy was the international language of the week. Lots of trading went on.
