"Perigord" is actually the proper term for what we've been calling the Dordogne.  It's the term used by the French for the area while the English speakers like to call it the Dordogne.  We're using it here to just be the catch-all space for neat places and pictures that we just didn't have enough of to make their very own pages.  Check out the captions for more info on each shot.

Beynac-et-Cazenac: 15-17C village surrounding 13C castle.  The French frontlin in the Hundred Years war. The remains of the Chateau in Milhac--the town in which we stayed. Hey, there's Montfort! La Roque Gageac is built between the Dordogne river and a cliff.  In 1957 a piece of cliff did come down. The hilltop village of Domme.  A catholic stonghold in the wars of religion.  Finally captured by the Huguenots, it was held for 4 years then sold back--as a ruin in 1592.
